Nigeria is addressing infrastructure challenges affecting exports through

1. Overcoming historical reliance on oil: Nigeria has long relied on oil exports, but the government is now exploring new avenues for economic growth.

2. Infrastructure development: Nigeria is prioritizing sustained investment and policy support for agriculture, manufacturing and solid minerals.

3. Access to finance: Policymakers are promoting innovative financing mechanisms, such as venture capital funds and targeted loan programs, to enable SMEs to invest and expand their export activities.

4. Policy ambiguity and implementation: Clear and transparent policies and effective implementation and regulatory frameworks are crucial to creating an enabling environment for non-oil exports.

5. Market diversification: Nigeria is exploring new markets in Europe, Asia and the Americas to provide a broader customer base and help mitigate risks associated with over-reliance on a single market.
