The Nigerian government has taken steps to address infrastructure challenges affecting exports, including ¹:

Prioritizing sustained investment and policy support for agriculture, manufacturing and solid minerals

Improving logistics and reducing the cost of doing business

Enhancing value addition and promoting agro-processing industries

Bridging the gap between farmers and exporters through improved market access

Promoting innovative financing mechanisms, such as venture capital funds and targeted loan programs, to enable small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to invest and expand their export activities

Increasing foreign investors' confidence in the Nigerian economy by allowing them to bring in and take out their money when they want

Improving port services and reducing the cost of production

Floating the Naira to allow market forces to determine the exchange rate and make Nigerian exports more competitive in the global market
