In Owerri, Imo State, a landlord has been arrested for shooting a boy named Paul, who had entered his property to retrieve a football. The incident occurred on Monday at Urban Secondary School in Area N, World Bank Housing Estate, where Paul and his classmates were playing football. The ball accidentally entered the landlord's compound, and when Paul attempted to retrieve it, he was shot in the waist, leaving him critically injured.

The Imo State Police Command confirmed the arrest, with Police Public Relations Officer Henry Okoye stating, "The man has been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing."

This incident has sparked discussions about property rights and the use of excessive force. Some community members expressed concern over the landlord's actions, emphasizing the need for restraint and proper conflict resolution methods.

As the investigation continues, authorities are urging the public to remain calm and allow the legal process to take its course. The community hopes for a swift recovery for Paul and a fair resolution to the incident.
