Here are the procedures for exporting software and IT services from Nigeria  

 

- *Find out your export readiness status*: Fill in an easy-to-understand readiness checker form.

- *Register with NEPC*: To export from Nigeria, you are required to register with NEPC to obtain a certificate. This can only be done using the e-registration platform.

- *Conduct research*: Conduct research on your export destination.

- *Export documentation*: Export documentation is a requirement for formal exports of goods and services from Nigeria.

- *Understand the basic terms of delivery*: Ensure you understand the basic terms of delivery (including pricing and documentation).

- *Complete and register Form NXP*: Complete and register Form NXP with an authorized dealer (i.e., any bank of your choice) in Nigeria.

- *Goods inspection*: The goods are subjected to inspection, conducted by relevant government agencies according to the items for export.

- *Export customs clearance formalities*: The export documents need to be submitted with the customs authorities for the cargo clearance.

- *Company Registration Documents*: Register your company with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).

- *Exporter Registration Document*: Obtain an export license from the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC).

- *Export Contract Document*: Prepare an export contract between the seller and buyer.

- *Commercial Documents*: Prepare commercial documents, including a proforma invoice, commercial invoice, and packing list.

- *Financial Documents*: Prepare financial documents, including a commercial invoice, NXP form, and final invoice.

- *Goods Movement Documents*: Prepare goods movement documents, including a clean certificate of inspection (CCI), certificate of weight and quality, certificate of origin, bill of lading, air way bill, and road transport bill.

- *Quality Assurance Documents*: Obtain quality assurance documents from recognized bodies such as the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services (NAQS), National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), and Department of Veterinary and Pest Control Services (DVPCS).
