What is the difference between a mortgage broker and a mortgage lender?

The main difference between a mortgage broker and a mortgage lender is that a mortgage lender provides the funds to purchase a home, while a mortgage broker acts as a middleman to connect borrowers with potential lenders. Mortgage brokers don't lend money, but instead work with many lenders to find the best loan option for their clients.
