The Nigerian government has taken several measures to address export-related environmental concerns, including

Nigeria’s 2021 Climate Change Act, which provides a framework for climate action at the national level.

The Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) 2021, which aims to create an environment more conducive for growth of the oil and gas sector and address legitimate grievances of communities most impacted by extractive industries.

The Nigeria Minerals and Mining Act (NMMA), which aims to rebalance power from the federal government to the state government and address issues driving illegal mining.
