Drones can be used for mapping and surveying by gathering data on wildlife and their habitats . Drones can be used to count wildlife populations, monitor species and protect endangered species However, drones can also impact wildlife negatively, such as disturbing animals and disrupting their natural behavior . To minimize the impact, researchers are working to develop protocols for using drones in wildlife monitoring and management.
