Drones can be equipped with a variety of sensors depending on their intended application. Some of the primary sensors used in drones include:

1. **RGB Cameras**: RGB (Red, Green, Blue) cameras capture standard color images and videos, commonly used for aerial photography, videography, and visual inspection tasks.

2. **Thermal Cameras**: Thermal cameras detect infrared radiation emitted by objects and generate thermal images that represent temperature variations. They are used for applications such as search and rescue, building inspections, agriculture, and wildlife monitoring.

3. **Multispectral Cameras**: Multispectral cameras capture images across multiple wavelengths of light, allowing for the analysis of vegetation health, soil composition, and environmental conditions. They are commonly used in precision agriculture, forestry, and environmental monitoring.

7. **Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU)**: IMU sensors, including accelerometers and gyroscopes, measure the drone's acceleration and rotation rates in all three axes. IMUs provide data for stabilization, attitude control, and navigation.

8. **Compass**: Compass sensors provide directional information by detecting magnetic fields, allowing drones to maintain a consistent heading and orientation.

9. **Barometer and Altitude Sensors**: Barometers and altitude sensors measure air pressure or altitude above sea level, helping drones maintain a stable altitude and adjust flight dynamics.

10. **Gas and Chemical Sensors**: Gas and chemical sensors detect and measure concentrations of gases such as carbon dioxide, methane, and pollutants in the atmosphere. They are used for environmental monitoring, air quality assessment, and industrial inspections.

These sensors can be used individually or in combination to provide drones with a wide range of capabilities for various applications, including aerial photography, surveying, mapping, inspection, environmental monitoring, agriculture, and more.
