Can I get a mortgage if I'm self-employed?

You can get a mortgage if you are self-employed, but you will need to provide additional documentation to prove your income. You will need to provide proof of income stability, the location and nature of your self-employment, the financial strength of your business and the likelihood that your business will continue to generate income. You will need to have been self-employed for at least two years, but some lenders may accept an application if you have been self-employed for less than two years.
