The Nigerian government takes the following measures to mitigate risks for exporters:

Providing export credit insurance to protect against non-payment by foreign buyers.

Offering financing options, such as the Export Development Fund, to support export activities.

Establishing the Nigerian Export-Import Bank (NEXIM) to provide financing and risk management services.

Implementing the Export Expansion Grant (EEG) to support exporters.

Providing training and capacity-building programs for exporters to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Establishing trade missions and desks in foreign countries to support Nigerian exporters.

Negotiating trade agreements and memoranda of understanding with other countries to reduce trade barriers and risks.

Implementing the National Export Strategy to promote diversification and growth of exports.

These measures help to reduce the risks associated with exporting, such as non-payment, market risks, and financing risks, and provide support to Nigerian exporters to compete in the global market.
