Here are the differences between quadcopter, hexacopter, and octocopter ¹ ² ³ ⁴:

- *Quadcopter*: Quadcopters are the most popular and widely used multicopter drones. They have four propellers, which are arranged in a square or rectangular shape around the drone's body. Quadcopters are fast, affordable, and can carry heavy payloads.

- *Hexacopter*: Hexacopters have six propellers, which are arranged in a circular shape around the drone's body. They are more powerful than quadcopters, can fly higher, and are more stable. Hexacopters can still fly even if one of their propellers fails.

- *Octocopter*: Octocopters have eight propellers, which are arranged in a circular shape around the drone's body. They are the most powerful and stable among the three, can fly the highest, and can carry the heaviest payloads. Octocopters can still fly even if two or three of their propellers fail.
