Here are the main differences between indie and AAA game development ¹ ² ³ ⁴ ⁵:

*Indie Game Development:*
- *Smaller teams*: Indie titles are developed by individuals or small teams.
- *Less budget*: Indie developers usually don't have financial support from a publisher, and they have to rely on crowdfunding or personal investment.
- *Smaller games*: Indie games are generally smaller in size and shorter in length.
- *Cheaper*: Indie titles are much cheaper than AAA games, usually costing less than twenty dollars.
- *Simplistic gameplay*: Indie games have relatively simple gameplay and are easier to pick up and play.
- *Less taxing on hardware*: Indie games are less demanding on hardware, so you won't need the latest computer parts to run them.

*AAA Game Development:*
- *Large teams*: AAA games are developed by large studios with hundreds, or even thousands, of people working for them.
- *Big budget*: AAA games have massive budgets supplied by a publisher.
- *Longer games*: AAA games are usually long, large, and feature detailed, realistic graphics.
- *Expensive*: AAA games cost more money than indie games, typically ranging from forty to sixty dollars.
- *Complex gameplay*: AAA games have more complex gameplay and a learning curve for players.
- *Cutting-edge visuals*: AAA games usually have cutting-edge visuals, so PC players need strong enough hardware to run the game smoothly.
